19 July, 2007: Walking on Other Worlds
Jim scored an innovative video collaboration between Sarah Morrison of Morrisondance and NASA Glenn's Imaging Technology Center. Green screen technology is used to showcase NASA Glenn's "floating treadmill." Treadmill simulators like the enhanced Zero Gravity Locomotion Simulator (eZLS) can mimic different gravitational environments, and are used by NASA's Human Research Program and the Cleveland Clinic. The film will be screening at the Ingenuity Festival.
17 June, 2007: TranZendental Danse in China
Jim Kull and the St. Charles East Wind Ensemble will be performing "TranZendental Danse of Joi" at the Great Wall of China.
22 May, 2007: Angels with Dirty Faces world premiere
Jim Kull will be conducting the St. Charles East Wind Ensemble for the world premiere of Jim's latest work, "Angels with Dirty Faces", in memory of Nicole Alaniz.
15 April, 2007: Chaos at Eastern Illinois University
Jim will be performing Chaos Theory with Dr. Milt Allen and the Eastern Illinois University wind ensemble in a concert that will also feature the Illinois premiere of "Watercolors".
9 October, 2006: Mortal Kombat: Armageddon
Midway games will release the 7th game in the Mortal Kombat series for xbox and ps2 on October 9th. Jim was the audio lead as well as composer and sound designer for this release.
13 May, 2006: Threnody world premiere
Dr. Richard Mark Heidel will be conducting the wind ensemble from University of Wisconsin at Eau Claire for the world premiere of Jim's latest work, "Threnody", in memory of Branden Atherton, Doug Greenhalgh, Therese Greenhalgh, Morgan Greenhalgh, and Paul Rasmus.
6 May, 2006: Watercolors world premiere
Directors Asa Burk, Alan Hanna, Kathy Johnson, Bryan Edwards, and Dr. Danna Rothlisberger will be conducting an honors band formed from the best musicians at Huffines, Lamar, Durham, and McKamy Middle schools, for the world premiere of "Watercolors", 5 sketches for wind orchestra.
April, 2006: Artist in Residence
Jim will be Artist-in-Residence for a week of the Arts Festival at Bismarck State College. Dr. John Darling and the wind ensemble will be performing "Chaos Theory", with Jim as the electric guitar soloist. There will also be master classes, lectures, and interviews during the week in Bismarck, North Dakota.
12 March, 2006: Chaos in Wisconsin
Jim will be performing Chaos Theory with Director Steve Sveum and Sun Prairie High School in a concert that will also feature "TranZendental Danse of Joi" and the Wisconsin premiere of "Sticks & Stones".
12 January, 2006: Sticks & Stones world premiere
Director Peter Toews and the Mountain View High School will be performing the world premiere of Sticks & Stones with drumset soloist Shilo Stroman. This will be an all Jim Bonney concert, with additional performances of Courage & Compassion, TranZendental Danse of Joi (with Jim as bass guitar soloist), Reflections in a Tidal Pool (guest conductor Tom Leslie, conducting), and Chaos Theory (with Jim as electric guitar soloist).
Summer 2006: Happy Feet
Jim will be creating music tracks for toys created to promote the movie "Happy Feet", available this summer at Burger King restaurants.
17 December, 2005: Japan premiere of Chaos Theory
The world-renowned Tokyo Kosei Wind Orchestra will be performing "Chaos Theory" with the famous Japanese guitarist, Katsumi Watanabe, as electric guitar soloist.
18 November, 2005: Chaos at VMEA
Jim will be performing Chaos Theory with Director David Webb and Jefferson Forest High School at the 2005 Virginia Music Educator's Convention in Norfolk, VA. Jim will also be conducting "Reflections in a Tidal Pool".
1 November, 2005: Chaos at North Texas University
The wind orchestra at the University of North Texas is playing "Chaos Theory", Dennis Fisher, conducting. Fred Hamilton is the electric guitar soloist.
16 October, 2005: Chaos at Indiana Purdue University
Jim will be performing Chaos Theory at Indiana Purdue University. Check out these dates on the blog for more news of the trip.
2-3 June, 2005: "Native Americans in the Twenty-First Century"
Jim will be producing the orchestra recording in Salt Lake City, UT for Jerod Tate's score to "Urban Indians in Los Angeles", part of a two-part series called "Native Americans in the Twenty-First Century", to be aired on PBS in November.
19-20 May, 2005: Chaos in Minnesota
Jim will be performing two concerts of Chaos Theory in the St. Paul, MN area: one on Thursday night at Anoka High School, and one on Friday night at Champlin Park High School. CLICK HERE for more details on the concerts. Check out these dates on the blog for more news of the trip.
25 March, 2005: Carnegie Hall Debut
Anthony Bailey and the Hart Regiment will perform "Reflections in a Tidal Pool" at Carnegie Hall in New York City. This will be Jim's New York City debut, and he is humbled and honored that the ensemble has chosen to play this piece on such an auspicious occasion.
1 January, 2005: Tokyo Kosei to perform Chaos Theory
The world-renowned Tokyo Kosei Wind Orchestra will be performing "Chaos Theory" during their 2005 concert season. The famous Japanese guitarist, Katsumi Watanabe, will be the electric guitar soloist. More details soon!
15 December, 2004: New BCM CD: "MEN OF INDUSTRY"
11 new performances of music by the BCM composers. Jim's tracks include "Courage & Compassion" (performed by Milt Allen and the Ohio State University Symphonic Winds), "TranZendental Danse of Joi" (performed by Milt Allen and Wind Ensemble X), and Jim's arrangement of Modest Moussorgsky's "Hopak" (performed by Thomas G. Leslie and the UNLV Wind Orchestra).

29-31 October, 2004: BCM Residency
Jim, Newman, and Steve will be composers-in-residence at the University of Minnesota at Duluth. There will be performances of BCM¹s music by the UMND Wind Ensemble and the Twin Ports Wind Ensemble (Mark Whitlock, conductor). Performances will include ³Courage & Compassion², ³Reflections in a Tidal Pool², and ³Chaos Theory², featuring Jim as the guitar soloist.
16 October, 2004: WIND ENSEMBLE X
Jim¹s newest piece, ³TranZendental Danse of Joi², will be recorded by Milt Allen (conductor) and WIND ENSEMBLE X -- a hand-picked 40-piece ensemble, made up of the best musicians from Ohio State University and Ohio Wesleyan University. 28 May, 2004: Transcontinentally Synchronous Premieres
On May 28th, "Chaos Theory" will receive it's Austrian premiere with the Sinfonisches Blasorchester Wimmpassing (Peter Haberfellner, guitar soloist. Otto M. Schwarz, conductor.), while "Courage & Compassion" is having it's Japanese premiere with the highly-aclaimed TAD Wind Symphony (Takayoshi Suzuki, conductor).
18 May, 2004: Chaos in Colorado
Jim will be the guitar soloist performing "Chaos Theory" with the Mountain View Wind Ensemble in Loveland, CO (Peter Toews, conductor) on May 18th at 7:00 PM.
10 May, 2004: More C-C-C-Synchronicity
On May 10th at 8 PM, Jim will be performing "Chaos Theory" in St. Charles, IL (James Kull, conductor) -- while simultaneously, "Courage & Compassion" is receiving it's Ohio premiere with the Cleveland Youth Wind Orchestra (Gray Ciepluch, conductor), at Severance Hall, the home of the Cleveland Orchestra.
28 March, 2004: Chaotic Transatlantic Synchronicity
On March 28th, "Chaos Theory" will have it's UK premiere at the BASBWE/RNCM International Wind Festival, hosted at the Royal College of Music in Manchester, England. That same day (and at nearly the same time), Jim will be the guest artist and guitar soloist, performing the same piece, at Ohio Wesleyan University. Milton Allen, conductor.
25 February, 2004: NBA/CBDNA Southern Division Conference
Jim will be in Atlanta, GA for the South-Eastern premiere of "Courage & Compassion", performed by Scott Stewart and the Emory University Wind Ensemble, February 25th, 2004, at 9:15pm.
22 February, 2004: Chaos in Statesboro, GA
Jim will be a guest artist and the electric guitar soloist for the Georgia Southern University Wind Ensemble's performance of "Chaos Theory". Daniel Pittman, conductor.
